I’m shame-faced that I may have read this before without commenting, because it’s just so awesome and beautiful, and I think I’m a little bit in love with it. I’ve read the dance as a metaphor before, but IMO I don’t think it’s ever been explored so vividly. I love the way you’ve shown the progression, and redefinition of their relationship over the years, and the finale is just perfect.
